Castor Oil is a vegetable oil that is extracted by cold pressing the beans or seeds of the castor plant, ricinus communis, It’s an incredibly, rich, thick textured oil, almost a honey like consistency. It is made up of a monounsaturated Omega 9 fatty acid called Ricinoleic Acid which makes up around 90% of the oil. It’s this unique composition that makes castor the super versatile oil we all love.
